Child Safety Standards
Meetly (Android app, package com.needit.meetme) · Last updated: 22 October 2026
1. Who can use Meetly
Meetly is intended only for adults aged 18 and above. Users and listeners (partners) must confirm they are 18+ when creating an account; partners provide their date of birth and are manually reviewed before approval. Accounts that we learn belong to a minor are removed.
2. What is prohibited
On Meetly — in calls, video calls, chats, profile photos, names or any other content — the following is strictly prohibited:
- Creating, sharing, requesting or linking to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), including drawn, AI-generated or edited imagery.
- Grooming, sexualising, or attempting to build a sexual or romantic relationship with a minor.
- Sextortion, or soliciting images, videos or personal information from a minor.
- Trafficking, or advertising or arranging sexual services involving minors.
- Any content or conduct that otherwise sexually exploits or endangers children.
3. How to report
- In the app: open the chat with the person, tap the Report (flag) button at the top, choose “Child safety / minor involved” and submit. You can also report from Profile / Settings → Report a problem.
- By email: write to our Child Safety point of contact at support@meetly.in. Include the person’s name or ID and what happened.
Child-safety reports are marked high priority and reviewed by our team as quickly as possible.
4. How we respond
- We review every report and immediately suspend accounts involved in suspected CSAE while we investigate.
- Confirmed violations result in a permanent ban; the person may not create a new account.
- We preserve relevant information and report apparent CSAM to the appropriate authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and Indian law enforcement through the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in), as required by law.
- We cooperate with law enforcement requests related to child safety.
5. Compliance with law
Meetly complies with all applicable child safety laws and regulations, including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and IT Rules, 2021 in India, and Google Play’s Child Safety Standards policy.
6. Child Safety point of contact
This contact can discuss Meetly’s CSAM prevention practices and child safety compliance.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services (India: 112, Childline: 1098).
